EUGY Difficulty Levels Explained: Easy, Normal & Advanced

Looking for a fun, creative gift for a child who loves animals and crafting? EUGY 3D model kits combine creativity, building and learning into one adorable activity.

But with Easy, Normal and Advanced models to choose from, which EUGY is right for your child? In this guide, we'll explain what EUGY is, why it's such a great gift and what to expect from each difficulty level.

What is EUGY?

EUGY is a collection of colourful, collectible 3D cardboard model kits featuring animals, dinosaurs, mythical creatures and more.

Designed in New Zealand, each model is made from recyclable cardboard, eco-friendly ink and non-toxic glue. The numbered pieces are glued together step-by-step to create a detailed 3D model.

Each kit also includes interesting facts about the creature, making EUGY both fun and educational.

Most models can be completed in around 10–20 minutes, giving children the satisfaction of completing a project without it taking all day.

Why is EUGY the perfect gift for kids?

EUGY is a great screen-free activity that lets children make something themselves.

Building the models encourages concentration, patience, problem-solving and fine motor skills. Plus, with animals ranging from rabbits and hedgehogs to dinosaurs and sea creatures, there's an EUGY for almost every animal lover.

EUGY models are suitable for children aged 6 years and upwards, making them a great choice for birthdays, Christmas, stocking fillers or rainy-day activities.

And once the model is finished, it can be displayed and added to a growing EUGY collection!

EUGY Difficulty Levels Explained

EUGY models come in three difficulty levels: Easy, Normal and Advanced.

The level reflects how challenging the model is to build, helping children gradually develop their confidence and skills.

Easy EUGY Models

Easy EUGY models are perfect for first-time builders.

They have a simpler construction, making them a great introduction to 3D model building. Children can practise following instructions, matching numbers and putting the pieces together without the build feeling overwhelming.

Examples include the Tyranno, Elephant, Penguin, Orca, Dolphin, Parrot and Polar Bear.

Perfect for: First-time EUGY builders, younger crafters and children who prefer a simple project.

Normal EUGY Models

Normal EUGY models offer a little more of a challenge.

They may have more pieces or a slightly more involved structure, making them a great next step for children who have already tried an Easy EUGY.

Examples include the Tricera, Bronto, Giraffe, Zebra, Panda, Unicorn, Kangaroo and Sea Otter.

Perfect for: Children who have built EUGY models before and confident crafters looking for a little extra challenge.

Advanced EUGY Models

Advanced EUGY models are designed for children ready to put their building skills to the test.

These models can have more intricate construction and require extra patience and concentration. They're a great choice for experienced EUGY builders looking for their next challenge.

The EUGY Sasquatch, for example, is an Advanced model with 31 pieces.

Perfect for: Experienced EUGY builders, older children and kids who love a challenge.

Which EUGY difficulty level should I choose?

Not sure which one to pick? Think about the child's previous building and crafting experience.

Choose Easy if: They're new to EUGY or want a simple first model.

Choose Normal if: They've built an EUGY before and are ready for a little more challenge.

Choose Advanced if: They're an experienced EUGY builder looking for their next project.

Every child is different, so there's no need to stick rigidly to the levels. Some children will enjoy jumping straight into a challenge, while others will prefer to build their confidence with an easier model first.

Start building your EUGY collection

With so many animals and characters to discover, there's always another EUGY to build.

From a cute EUGY Rabbit or Hedgehog to an impressive Whale Shark or Stingray, children can choose their next model based on their favourite animal or the difficulty level they'd like to try.

Whether you're looking for a first craft kit, a birthday present or a new challenge, EUGY is a creative gift that lets kids build, learn and collect – one adorable animal at a time.
